"We were extremely fortunate and grateful that Terrace Downs could accommodate for our wedding ceremony and reception at such short notice, following the February 2011 earthquake in Christchurch. The fantastic views with surrounding mountains and it's fine golf course were among the several appealing characteristics of the resort. The meals were excellent - especially the salmon dish! The range of the resort's activities including horse riding, spa, clay bird shooting, the golf course and hunting were especially impressive, and enjoyed by our guests. Lastly, the chalet accommodation was of exceptional quality, that which we could not find in the Christchurch. We were so happy that we chose Terrace Downs as our wedding venue, with the only regret being that we did not stay longer!"

"Beany and I were married on the the 11th March 2011 at Terrace Downs Resort. We ran into an acquaintance who was recently married at Terrace Downs and his passionate recommendation for the venue piqued our curiosity. After one visit to the resort we chose Terrace Downs. It simply had the most beautiful site, professional and accommodating team and relaxed weekend away feel. We were very impressed with the wedding staff in the lead up - Lauretta and Kylie were wonderful and catered to all our requests. The day of the wedding was truly the best day of our lives. Beany and around 30 other gents played golf all morning, while myself and the girls preened in the very grand ladies Powder Room. The food was fantastic the staff were really capable & efficient and everything ran very smoothly. The grounds and tasteful buildings also provided a spectacular background for our photos. I have no hesitation in recommending this venue, it really caters for weddings. Beany and I will always be 100% pleased we chose Terrace Downs for our big weekend."
