Home to possibly one of NZ’s most scenic rugby fields!

Terrace Downs is nestled amongst acres of pristine farm land and, when arriving at the stunning Resort, guests are blown away by the unexpected grandeur that awaits them at the end of the Terrace Downs entrance way. Bordered by New Zealand’s most iconic landscape, the Resort offers an awe-inspiring and unsurpassed view of the spectacular Southern Alps, and what is possibly New Zealand’s most scenic rugby field!

 
Being true to its Kiwi roots and ownership, Terrace Downs is fanatical about rugby and very excited that New Zealand is hosting the 2011 Rugby World Cup. To date, the Resort has hosted teams from grass roots local primary school level right up to a training camp for the All Blacks.  Not only are teams treated to the breath-taking vistas of the Alps, but post match or training, players can freshen up in truly luxurious shower and changing facilities before unwinding in the Clubhouse and deluxe 1-4 bedroom accommodation.

The full size rugby field, complete with international standard goal posts, offers undoubtedley one of the most memorable venues for a game of rugby in New Zealand, whether it be a social kick around or a full competition match.

The location and landscape is sure to lend itself to a peak performance and with a range of team building activities, diverse terrain and running tracks overlooking the beautiful Rakaia River and Gorge, warming up has never been so scenic!
