Sports field now open
The new addition (May 2009) of our new sports field complete with international-standard rugby goal posts has Terrace Downs in the running to host a team for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. The rugby field without a doubt offers one of the best scenic alpine backdrops New Zealand has to offer. With its range of deluxe accommodation, fine and casual dining options, wide selection of resort activities, championship golf course, gym, day spa and the resorts secluded alpine setting, it makes for an ultimate team training base and venue to wow our visiting international sports teams.
Local sports teams, Corporate Social Clubs and the like are also lining up to utilize this exciting new addition to the resort – from cricket, soccer, hockey, touch rugby, Aussie Rules and softball!
