Terrace Downs - a "Golf Resort" no more...
Unbeknown to the majority of Canterbury businesses, Terrace Downs Resort has become quite the desirable destination for one or multi-day conference and incentive retreats.
Since the resort was acquired by fellow kiwi Jonathan Hendriksen in late 2007, the team have been hard at work creating a more fully-rounded offering for both leisure and corporate travel markets - moving away from just its "golf resort" positioning for which it has been widely known for to date.
In the last few months, four new venues have been added to the resorts conference and functions venue portfolio offering now an array of venues for groups of 10 through to 100 for private conferences to more relaxed, casual offsite meetings. From a state of the art executive boardroom through to their rustic 120-year old shearers’ quarters, they pretty much have it covered.
