The Classic World Cup is a multi-tiered amateur group golf tournament open to men’s, ladies and mixed teams playing at a variety of qualifying group golf tournaments.
- Two person Ambrose event.
- Players must take a minimum of 6 tee shots per round.
- Men’s maximum handicap is 27 and Ladies 36.
- Local qualifying events will be held at numerous clubs around Christchurch and Canterbury - keep your eyes on the qualifying event venues and dates below! Fees may differ between courses.
- All entrants receive tournament entry, 18 holes and a gift pack comprising of an official tournament cap, golf balls and a promotional voucher for a free round of golf at the home of the New Zealand Classic World Cup, Terrace Downs Resort!
- Winners from each local event qualify to play in the finals held at Terrace Downs on the 11th of April.
- The winners from the final will WIN an all expenses paid trip to the Cascada Resort in Las Vegas to play in the international finals on the 9th and 10th of June, 2010.
Club Qualifying Events
Christchurch and Canterbury Golf Clubs will have the opportunity to register a Classic World Cup qualifying event between the starting date and prior to the finals being held in their respective districts. For more information, please contact Nigel Davis on golf@terracedowns.co.nz
